Store Policies

Color/Stain and Size Variations:
Foothills Amish Furniture is not responsible for variations in wood color, stain color, cherry pits, knots, knot holes, mineral deposits, sap wood, and wood grain. Wood is a natural product created by the environment, the natural characteristics will not allow for a perfectly uniform product and pieces may have color variations.  Sizes are given as overall sizes and may change without notice. We try to keep sizes updated as models are changed however dimensions may vary from those stated. If you have a dimensional limitation please call  to confirm dimensions.

Estimated Completion Date:
Foothills Amish Furniture produces solid wood, hand crafted furniture and each piece is made to order. Amish-built furniture is not factory made: additional time is required to build and finish each piece to meet the high standards expected of custom made furniture. The “estimate” completion date is the approximate date the order is expected. Foothills Amish Furniture is not responsible if the “actual” completion date varies from the “estimated” completion date. We will do everything we can do to try and get your order in timely manner, however, we will not rush the build and finish process, we want you furniture to be built with the highest possible craftsmanship available. The normal build and finish time for Amish furniture is 8-10 weeks.  Occasionally, additional weeks are required for shipping.

Warranty Information:
Every piece of furniture we sell comes with a 10 year satisfaction guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Should you detect a defect, simply return the item to us, and we will repair it at no charge other than necessary shipping costs. This warranty does not apply to issues caused by the failure to maintain proper (35%-45%) humidity levels in the home. Warranty is void where pets are involved.

Foothills Amish Furniture will charge a 50% deposit of your order total  upon checkout. The remaining 50% will be charged when the shipper takes possession of your order.

Sales Tax:
There is a 6% to 8% sales tax charge for any order delivered within South Carolina.

Order Status:
Order status may be checked by calling the store. Please include your order number. Most orders take 8-10 weeks from order placement to delivery.  As the Amish do not have phones or computers, we do not have a means to track order progress. We will not have any updates available until at least the 8th or 9th week of the order process.

Return Policy:
Foothills Amish Furniture operates on the principle that we seek to provide our customers with the highest quality Amish furniture. However, our refund amount is limited to the purchase price, minus shipping and discounts, if we cannot satisfactorily resolve a problem you have with your furniture. Because each piece of furniture is custom built we are unable to return it to the builder, therefore, if you decide to return your order after the order has been received you will be subject to a 15% restocking fee of the furniture total plus the cost of shipping. Custom furniture (i.e. any and all items with customized sizing, specialty staining/finishing techniques) and Clearance furniture cannot be returned unless received damaged. Your money will be refunded to your credit card once Foothills Amish Furniture has received notification that your order has been picked up. You must notify Foothills Amish Furniture in writing within 3 days of the receipt of the order.

Damage Policy:
We request that you inspect your furniture in its entirety (packaging materials and the individual piece[s]). Any cosmetic damages (i.e., scratches, dents, nicks, etc.), must be reported at the time of delivery. Once our shipper leaves, we cannot be held liable for any cosmetic damages. Damages pertaining to the integrity of the piece (i.e., building errors, uneven staining, etc.) must be reported no later than 3 days after receipt of your order. We recommend having a camera and pen and paper ready when your order is delivered to record any potential damage issues. When possible we ask that any damage/issues be noted on the Delivery Receipt paperwork. Photos will assist the claims process to happen more expediently. Printed Catalog:
We’re sorry, but because of the continuing variety of our inventory and the number of Amish builders we use, we do not have a printed catalog to distribute. However, we may have additional pictures and literature that we can email if you specify what products you are interested in. E.g. Single Pedestal Table and Chairs, Wall Entertainment Center, Corner Entertainment Center, Shaker 3 Door Hutch, Glider Rocker and Ottoman, 3 Door Nightstand.

Enforcement/Choice of Law/Venue:
Any and all disputes relating to this Agreement, Foothills Amish Furniture Privacy and Shipping Policy, your use of the site, the service, or the content are governed by, and will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina without regard to any conflict of law’s provisions. The venue for any and all disputes relating to this agreement shall be in Landrum, SC.
