Store Policies

These policies cover shopping with Foothills Amish Furniture: product details, special orders, payment, warranty, returns, delivery inspection, storage, and related store terms.

Products, Colors, and Specifications

Foothills Amish Furniture makes all reasonable efforts to display content accurately. This is subject to change at any time without notice. The colors shown in photos can vary. Please visit our showroom for samples of stains, paints, upholstery, and other items before purchase. Foothills Amish Furniture is not responsible for variations in wood color, stain color, cherry pits, knots, knot holes, mineral deposits, sapwood, and wood grain. Wood is a natural product; the natural characteristics will not allow for a perfectly uniform product, and pieces may have color variations.

Certain weights, measurements, and descriptions may be approximate and are provided for convenience purposes only. We try to keep sizes updated as models are changed, however dimensions may vary from those stated. If you have a dimensional limitation please call to confirm dimensions.

Mattresses & Bedding

Please allow 30-days minimum to adjust to your sleep set. King and queen sets must have a center support system. Please contact the store after 30-days but before 60-days for information on our sleep guarantee.

Special Orders

We will be happy to arrange special merchandise orders to meet your needs. Please see a sales associate for details.

Sales Tax

There is a 6% to 8% sales tax charge for any order delivered within South Carolina. Please contact us for sales tax details regarding out-of-state orders.

Estimated Completion Date

Amish-built furniture is not factory-made, so additional time is required to build and finish each piece. The estimated completion date is the approximate date the order is expected to arrive. Foothills Amish Furniture is not responsible if the actual completion date varies from the estimated completion date. Order timing is based on several factors. Your salesperson will provide a timeframe for your custom furniture when the order is placed.

Order Status

Your order status may be checked by calling the store at (864) 457-2400.

Payment

Full payment is required to start any built-to-order furniture purchase. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

Warranty Information

We honor all our manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary by the manufacturer and different components within their products. It is important to note that depending on warranty terms, age and condition of furniture, shipping, handling, and labor may not be covered items. Ask your sales associate for details. This warranty does not apply to issues caused by the failure to maintain proper (35%-45%) humidity levels in the home. Warranty is void where pets are involved.

Return Policy

We must be notified within 3 business days after purchase. Any refund amount is limited to the purchase price, minus shipping and discounts; all returned purchases will be charged a 15% restocking fee plus the cost of shipping. Any defective items received will be repaired if possible. If not, we will replace it.

Custom furniture (i.e. any items with customized sizing, specialty staining/finishing techniques) and Clearance items cannot be returned unless received damaged. Your payment will be refunded once Foothills Amish Furniture has received notification that your return has been picked up.

Non-Returnable/Non-Refundable Items

All Accessory items, rugs, bed covers, mattress pads, arm caps, pillows, decorative pillows, and fabric yardage are all non-returnable items. The protection plan, if purchased, is non-refundable. Clearance items are sold without warranty, refunds, returns, or cancellations.

As-Is Clearance Items

These items are sold as-is with no warranty, refunds, returns or cancellations.

Damage Policy

You are required to inspect your furniture in its entirety upon delivery or time of pickup. Any cosmetic damages (i.e. scratches, dents, nicks, etc.) must be reported at delivery time. After inspection, we cannot be held liable for any cosmetic damages. Damages to the piece's integrity (i.e. building errors, uneven staining, etc.) must be reported no later than 3 days after receipt of your order. We recommend having a camera, pen, and paper ready to record any potential damage issues when your order is delivered. And we ask that any damage/issues be noted on the Delivery Receipt paperwork. Photos will assist in expediting the claims process. We are here to help with any questions you have and help with your claim's processing.

Storage

All orders received complete into our storage facilities (or invoices of on-hand inventory items) will be allowed 2 months of complimentary storage until delivery or pick up. After that, Foothills Amish Furniture will charge a monthly service fee for all items stored. The cost will be 2% per month of the total invoice amount.

Printed Catalogs

We’re sorry, but because of the continuing variety of our inventory and the number of Amish builders we use, we do not have a printed catalog to distribute. However, we may have additional pictures and literature that we can email if you specify what products you are interested in.
